Tournament poker will be live and well this month in Maryland.
Maryland casinos will host multiple events including the Maryland State Poker Championships and the Potomac. This all comes on the prior to the first ever Run Good Series in Baltimore as well.
In the Free State, poker players will find an incredible lineup of guaranteed live tournaments at Maryland Live!, Horseshoe and MGM National Harbor worth over $1 million in the month of August.
Maryland State Poker Championships at Live! features $1 million Main Event
Maryland Live! Casino Poker Room will play home to the Maryland State Poker Championship from Aug. 9-22. The series will consist of 19 events.
To get the party started a $500,000 guaranteed multi-day tournament will start Aug. 9 for the buy-in amount of $600. From Aug 9-13, the multi-day flight event will feature five starting flights. Day 2 will take place on Aug 13 when a winner will be crowned.
Other highlighted events include:
- Event 5- $400 PLO Championship – Aug. 11 – $20,000 guaranteed
- Event 9- $360 NLH Multi Flight – Aug. 14-16 – $100,000 guaranteed
- Event 11- $500 NLH Seniors Championship – Aug. 15 – $50,000 guaranteed
- Event 16- $5,300 NLH MAIN EVENT – Aug. 18 – $1 million guaranteed
- Event 17- $2,200 NLH Live Stacks – Aug. 20 – $50,000 guaranteed

The series will also host a ladies event on Aug. 13. Hosted by Poker League of Nations, the world’s largest women’s poker organization.
MGM National Harbor Potomac Poker Open 2023
MGM National Harbor Poker Room will showcase their Potomac Poker Open from Aug. 16-28. Poker players will have the chance to grind the felt for $2 million in guaranteed payouts. The buy-in for the main event will cost $3,000 and will hold two starting flights kick starting on Friday, Aug 25. On Thursday, Aug. 24, players can win a satellite into the main event for only $200.

- Event 1- $400 NLH Mystery Bounty- Aug. 16- $60,000 guaranteed
- Event 3- $300 NLH Seniors – Aug. 20
- Event 5- $1,500 PLO Champiosnhip – Aug 20

RunGood Series at Horseshoe
The RunGood poker series recently announced that it would be premiering in the northeast for the first time. This September Horseshoe Baltimore will be the home of the popular tournament.
“We’re very excited to host Rungood for their first ever east coast stop,” Said Horseshoe Poker Manager Mario Tee. “There will be events for everyone, and we can’t wait to see some old and new faces at Horseshoe Baltimore.”
The series will cap off with a $1,100 Multi Flight Main Event. The tournament jump starts on Friday, Sept. 8 and comes with a $200,000 guarantee. Each sanctioned tournament in the RunGood Series comes with an exclusive ring for the winners.

Perryville Hollywood hosts weekly tournaments
