Celebrate The Fourth Of July At Maryland Casinos

Posted on July 1, 2022 - Last Updated on October 24, 2022

On a weekend where coolers, barbecues and the star-spangled banner will be flooding backyards and parks, Maryland casinos are running several Fourth of July promotions. They include everything from T-shirts and poker chips to high fashion and charitable donations.

Maryland sports six casinos:

Below are some of the best promos in the Old Line State for the popular summer holiday.

MGM National Harbor

From 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., Oxon Hill’s flagship casino is running its Fourth of July Kiosk promotion. Any loyalty members who earn $2 in Slot Dollars or 900 tier credits from table play between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. will earn an entry into the kiosk game.

Every play gives contestants a chance to win a top prize of $1,776. Entries are limited to five per person.

On the entertainment side, Funambula is showing at the casino’s theater at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday. The show is a circus-style production that features tightrope champion Bello Nock. Tickets are available for both times and start at $15.

Hollywood Casino Perryville

Perryville’s premier casino is keeping things simple on Independence Day. Their main promotion is a t-shirt giveaway. Some loyalty members have already received the free T-shirt offer in the mail. For those who haven’t, you can earn the free shirt by racking up at least 10 tier points from noon to 5 p.m. on July 4.

Things are basic on the entertainment side, as the casino has put big performances on hold until its done renovating its dining area. That being said, a live DJ will perform on the casino floor Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m.

Ocean Downs Casino

Berlin’s bustling casino is offering the only truly free promotion for the Fourth. No tier points are needed. Club Ocean members can select a firework at any casino loyalty kiosk to reveal a free play bonus. Every firework is a winner. The promotion runs all day on July 4.

Entertainment-wise, Ocean Downs Racetrack is open for competition this weekend. Races will take place on Sunday and Monday.

Rocky Gap Casino, Resort & Golf

Throughout July, Rocky Gap Casino in Flintstone is running its Stuff the Bus promotion. True Rewards loyalty members can make a donation of school supplies for the United Way at the casino.

When they do their drop-off, they’re entered into a contest to win $2,000 in free slot play. Loyalty members can earn an entry once per day. The drawing is at 4 p.m. on July 31. The winner must be present at the drawing to claim the prize.

While not a July 4th-specific promo, the casino is also doing a suited blackjack giveaway on July 2. True Rewards members who hit a suited blackjack on Saturdays get a no-cost entry into a giveaway awarding up to $300 in casino chips.

There are no shows taking place at the resort this weekend.

Live! Casino Hotel Maryland

Live! Casino has a variety of promotions on Independence Day which are running all month long.

  • Baccarat hot seat: Every eight minutes, a Live! Rewards player at a baccarat table (mini included) wins $800
  • Salvatore Ferragamo giveaway: For every 50 tier credits earned by rewards members from July 1-30, they’ll earn one entry into a drawing for a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo his-and-hers set valued at $30,000. Other prizes include free cash play bonuses running from $1,000 to $5,000.
  • High hand payouts: Loyalty members with the highest Texas Hold ‘Em poker hands will win $200. The contest takes place every 20 minutes. The minimum high hand required to win the prize is aces full.
  • Blackchip turbo satellite poker tournament: A poker tournament with a $50 buy-in that starts at 9:15 on Independence Day.

The casino’s one promotion specific to July 4 is a $400 buy-in poker tournament with a $100 bounty. The tournament starts at 11:15 a.m. Levels change every 30 minutes, and players can buy re-entries through the first six levels.

Horseshoe Baltimore

The Horseshoe has not listed any Fourth of July casino promotions. This weekend, however, there will be DJs performing, starting at 9 p.m. in Poe’s Nest.
