It took nearly two years, but Caesars Racebook has formally gone live in Maryland.
Caesars Entertainment’s dedicated horse wagering app debuted in late November — following the launch of Maryland online sports betting.
Caesars Sportsbook & Racebook launch online in Maryland
There are three ways to bet on horse races in Maryland. The first way is to visit a Maryland track itself. The second way is to bet at one of the off-track locations across the state. The third way is online through an app, and now Caesars has provided just that.
The Old Line State officially debuted online wagering the morning of Nov. 23. Caesars Sportsbook was among the first seven sportsbooks to begin operations.
The other six were:
- DraftKings
- BetMGM
- FanDuel
- BetRivers
- PointsBet
- Barstool
On the day online sports betting began in Maryland, Caesars Digital President Eric Hession released a statement:
“The launch of the Caesars Sportsbook app in Maryland strengthens our offering for customers in the state. With a historically jam-packed sports calendar, customers can now enjoy access to the same unmatched rewards they’ve experienced when betting at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, in the palm of their hands.”
The horse racing app utilizes intuitive features such as speed, ease of use, multiple deposit methods and faster payouts. Other key features of the app include:
- Wagering on hundreds of national and international horse races
- Caesars Rewards benefits and points from bets placed
- Live racing videos, race replays and handicapping insights
Horse races at more than 300 tracks available
Residents in eight states are now able to download the Caesars Racebook app for android, IOS and desktop devices. In addition to Maryland, those other states include:
- Kentucky
- Florida
- Ohio
- Indiana
- Oregon
- Montana
- North Dakota
To create the app, Caesars partnered with NYRA Bets LLC, the official online wagering platform of the New York Racing Association.
Players who download the Caesars Racebook Maryland app will have access to betting on races taking place at 300-plus tracks around the globe.
Those include:
- Saratoga
- Belmont Park
- Dubai
- Royal Ascot
Players can also wager on major racing events such as the Breeders’ Cup and Kentucky Derby.
As part of a promotional deal that lasts until Dec. 31, Caesars Racebook customers will receive 4x the Racebook Points for every $1 wagered on races held at Caesars Entertainment racetracks. Moreover, opting in for this promo is not necessary.
A mix match of $300 awaits new users above the age of 21, so long as a minimum wager is placed within 30 days.
Racebook will align with Horseshoe Baltimore
Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, which is part of Caesars Entertainment, Inc., celebrated the grand opening of its Caesars Sportsbook a year ago. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, along with former Baltimore Ravens stars Torrey Smith and Adalius Thomas were all present at the unveiling.
Caesars Sportsbook at Horseshoe Baltimore has been offering in-person sports betting since its Dec. 2021 launch. Now, Marylanders can visit the sportsbook in person as well as access both the Caesars Sportsbook app and the Caesars Racebook app from anywhere in the state.
